The intolerable acts were laws passed by the british as punishment for the Boston Tea Party. The first act, the Quartering Act, was passed on March 17, 1924. It forced collonists to let british soldiers into their homes, feed them, and give them a place to sleep. The Boston Port Bill was passed on June 1, 1774. This law closed the port of Boston to all Colonists until the damage of the Boston Tea Party was paid for. The Administration of JUstice act, passed on May 20, 1774, stated that british officials could not be tried in provincial courts. Instead, they would be brought back back to britain and tried there. This gave british soldiers the right to do whatever they wanted. The massachusetts givernment, passed on may 20, 177 act gave the Brithis governer full control of the colonists. The Quebec act, passed on May 20, 1774, extended the canadian borders, cutting off the western colonies of Conneticut, Massachusets, and Vriginia.
